We have recently invested heavily in our Dorset-based factory facilities to provide state-of-the-art modular buildings and bathroom Pods to cater for our expanding market share. We have also made a number of significant improvements to our labour processes, to ensure that our exemplary Health & Safety track record is maintained.
In the last few months we have developed a new factory Pod production area. This is to enable us as a business to grow in the manufacturing and supply of Pods to the industry. We have purchased two new cranes for the Pod production facility and this will enable us to run four independent lines from our current two.
We have invested in three new packaging robots to help improve our output of Pods and the main business HDA modules. These robots automatically wrap our products at the touch of a button.
We have also invested in another window / door fitting robot. This doubles our capacity and improves the speed of the process of fitting doors and windows. This enables us to complete the process in half the time.
As well as improving production output, we are also committed to our H&S continuous improvement. Various new changes, such as high level working platforms and new retractable extension leads and air lines, will make our factory a safer and more comfortable working environment.
We have also created a dedicated M&E working area outside of the factory. This will give our M&E contractors the ability to kit and manufacture all sub assemblies in a controlled environment. This removes the process off of the busy factory floor and helps speed up the manufacturing process.
Last but by no means least, we’ve created a new onsite training room and we are currently finalising a new training programme for all our factory staff.
Tim Woodley, Rollalong Managing Director, comments:
“These improvements represent our commitment to producing high quality buildings, as well as our ongoing investment in our working environment for our staff.’’
