Client: HM Prison

Project: HMP Send Prison Facility

Need: To provide Category B prison accommodation for 120 people, including cells, communal areas, visiting rooms, medical and administration facilities.

Solution: A steel frame modular system was employed, which was fully accredited to category B detention standards. All surfaces included steel lining with full secure steel prison fittings (doors, barred windows etc).

The building was finished with a permanent brickwork cladding to achieve a 60 year design life.

• The modular system facilitated the speed of build required, whilst meeting HMP's standards.
• High quality of internal finish was achieved without compromise to security requirements.

The buildings were manufactured in Rollalong's quality controlled factory, including the internal fit out and installation of all mechanical and electrical services prior to delivery to site, erection and connection to mains services.

Duration: The project was completed in just 6 months.
