Client: Turners Facilities Management for MOD

Project: Rollestone Dormitory Camp Accommodation

Need: Dormitory type, basic accommodation for Armed Forces in training

Solution: Rollalong provided a 432m² high specification temporary accommodation building comprising 10 bedrooms, 3 ablution areas with showers and drying rooms, impact resistant, fully insulated walls, heavy duty wardrobes and water sealed communal ablution areas and trickle-vented windows, to provide Building Regulation compliance.

Rollalong incorporated a number of unique acoustic solutions to minimise noise in the sleeping quarters. A thick layer of mineral fibre quilt was placed in the roof which acted as sound insulation. Rollalong overcame the problem of noisy floors by using a strengthened steel floor structure which absorbed the noise from heavy foot traffic.
