Busbridge Infant School delighted with their Rollalong classroom

Rollalong has efficiently delivered a classroom to Busbridge School one month earlier than scheduled to the delight of the school. Rollalong delivered a full ‘turnkey’ service from design, groundworks and foundations, build and provision/connection of external services, all within tight timescales and on a restricted site with difficult access. The school is thrilled with Rollalong’s service and classroom, as can be seen from the Bursar and Headteacher’s quote below:

“We had hoped that we could begin the new academic year in September with a sixth classroom and when we approached Rollalong very late in the day back in July, the governors really lacked confidence in the building process, having been disappointed and considerably delayed earlier in the year.

However, Ian promised he could deliver a fully functioning classroom by October half term, ready for use by 3rd November. Somewhat cynically and with fingers crossed, we made plans to accommodate the children in the school hall until Christmas (well you know what builders are like!). We simply could not believe then that this classroom could arrive and be in use so soon. However, not only did you manage it, but were a month ahead of schedule!! Never before have I blamed a need for a rushed order for IT equipment upon another delivery a month ahead of schedule!

We are aware that somewhere in the background things were going on, because you were very good at reassuring us that everything was going according to plan… however I find it hard to comment on all of this because we simply didn’t see it happening! The ground works were the first tangible evidence of something afoot – this happened as promised within the week and prior to the children returning to school in September. No fuss, remarkably little mess and really nice lads on site. After that, absolutely nothing other than reassuring words from Colin until all of a sudden a very exciting day for the children and their new classroom was craned into position. They were even able to watch and applaud!

Exactly one week later Colin handed over and the very next day the children and teacher were exploring their new classroom. We have a very short snagging list that is already in hand and again work has been organised to cause the least possible disruption during half term.

In summary; minimal disruption, professionalism in all respects, a delighted school (that represents a lot of people from staff to pupils, parents and governors!) and all a month ahead of schedule!! Along the way we have made a few friends too!” commented Jane Poulter, Bursar and Di Hockey, Headteacher.
