Students and teachers from The Gregg School in Southampton, recently visited our purpose-built factory in Dorset. Our young visitors were able to inspect their first modules going through the factory before they were delivered to site.
The Gregg School is an Independent day school in Southampton. This beautiful school is set in 23 acres of private landscaped grounds and the existing school teaching facilities are, in the main, provided within a converted Georgian Manor House.
The continued success of the school has meant that the existing teaching facilities are rapidly becoming insufficient for its needs and there is a requirement to provide additional teaching facilities within the grounds of the school.
The design solution, provided by our Rollalong Education team, is to create a two storey building in two wings around a feature atrium. The internal layout will provide 5 new science classrooms and a preparation room on the ground floor. On the first floor there will be 2 language studios, 2 classrooms and a food science classroom. The main toilet facilities and staff room will also be located on the first floor. The main atrium is a 2 storey open plan drama area with a first floor walkway linking the 2 wings.
Progress at The Gregg School is going well with phase one modules for the first wing now installed. The impressive new building is due to be handed over in time for the Autumn term.
