We have recently been awarded our biggest contract to date from Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) to build over 1750 modules of MOD accommodation. The project value is in excess of £100m and will comprise of 57 buildings in total, providing Junior, Senior and Officer single living accommodation.
Our Managing Director, Tim Woodley, comments; “We are delighted to be named as the Modular partner for this prestigious project and this signifies the success of our ongoing relationship with Aspire Defence Capital Works to deliver the Army Basing Programme (ABP) on Salisbury Plain on behalf of the MOD.”
The ABP involves a series of unit moves within the UK and the return of troops from Germany by 2020. The construction works and ongoing facilities management services to be delivered by Aspire Defence over the next four years and beyond will significantly improve the lives of thousands of soldiers, through provision of modern, high quality, fully serviced and purpose built living and working accommodation.
Our team has a proven track record of delivering projects of this scale for the MOD. Speaking in reference to PAC, Rhod McGregor, Senior Project Manager for Aspire Defence Capital Works commented; “Rollalong handed over approximately 100 buildings on this contract all on time and within budget. Rollalong managed the logistics of all their deliveries very professionally and we had no safety incidents on any of their buildings during assembly on site”.
This latest project spans garrisons across Salisbury Plain and at Aldershot and will create over 2600 additional single soldiers’ bedspaces. The project will provide the MOD with an extremely cost effective solution to create additional bed spaces.
Construction of the modules has already begun in our factory, with the installation phase taking place at the end of this year through to summer 2019.
