The R Defence team from the Rollalong Group are immensely proud of their work with PriDE, The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and the MoD. They have delivered numerous building projects throughout a successful collaborative working relationship with them over the past decade.
The Dorset based offsite construction specialists have provided PriDE and DIO with a number of quality buildings; including the highly acclaimed Jubilee Rehabilitation Centre at DMRC Headley Court, and the new Andover Hub for DIO is no exception.
Rollalong’s dedicated team installed and completed the building in just 12 weeks from breaking the ground. The programme was very tight due to a number of DIO offices being consolidated and the workspace required quickly.
The new building is made up of 44 modules over two storeys to form the open plan office accommodation, providing desk space for 200 DIO personnel along with meeting rooms and other breakout areas.
The MoD regularly chooses Rollalong for their new buildings as they are constructed to exacting standards that satisfy the MoD’s requirements. They also appreciate the minimal disruption and speed of construction that an offsite solution brings.
Their association with the MoD continues as work is progressing on buildings at various sites across the country including the new office and store building for the Army Training Unit at Pirbright for PriDE, which is on programme to be handed over this summer.
“Rollalong have designed and successfully delivered a new defence infrastructure organisation office building to a high level of specification and quality. I am delighted to have been part of this project and wish to thank all for the team effort involved on what was a very fast construction programme,” Laurie Garside, Rollalong Project Manager.
